Clive Christian Perfume is an English perfume house that creates luxurious and exquisite fragrances for women and for men. I have already told you about the Original Collection and the Noble Collection XX Art Nouveau by Clive Christian.
In the review of the Original Collection, I told you a little bit about 1872 Perfume, especially about its feminine edition.
But I would like to dedicate one more story to this beautiful and elegant fragrance, and therefore today I’ll review 1872 Perfume Feminine Edition by Clive Christian.
Review of 1872 Perfume Feminine Edition by Clive Christian
1872 Perfume is dedicated to the year Queen Victoria honored The Crown Perfumery Company with her symbol, the crown. It was the only perfumery given the right by Queen Victoria herself to use the image of her crown.
In 1999, Clive Christian purchased this company and founded his brand Clive Christian Perfume. The name has been changed, but the crown continues to be a symbol of this luxurious perfume house that creates the most exclusive fragrances with the finest ingredients.
From the first seconds, 1872 Perfume impresses with the bright and refreshing citrus-fruity scent on the mossy background. The note of bergamot brings to this perfume its juicy and radiant scent, which is beautifully softened by the sour-sweet notes of pineapple and blueberry.
After a while, the bright opening of 1872 gives way to a sensual and magnificent floral bouquet. In this bouquet, the scent of the delicate rose petals is surrounded by the notes of osmanthus, jasmine, purple violet, freesia, orchid and lily of the valley.
Some flowers give this perfume their refreshing aroma, while others add to this composition the depth and an almost invisible sweetness.
Meanwhile, the note of purple violet makes the sound of 1872 Perfume a little bit powdery and very soft.
The base of this elegant perfume is represented by the expressive woody accord with the note of oakmoss in the head. This note gives 1872 Perfume its tantalizing unique scent with some refreshing and a little bit damp accents.
In turn, the note of musk brings to this perfume light animalic sound and makes 1872 very sensual and alive.
There are fragrances which smell beautiful, but not much else. And there are fragrances which leave a lasting impression and give the most unique feelings.
The feminine edition of 1872 perfume by Clive Christian is a case when the fragrance impresses from the very first second.
This perfume is an ode to a simplicity that is full of elegance, and to the eternal beauty which this not flashy, but soft and very harmonious.
This perfume is like the early morning somewhere at the beautiful old villa with a terrace. The opulent floral bouquet is standing on the table, filling the air with its charming aroma.
The bracing morning coldness, that comes from the forest surrounding the villa, clears your mind and brings you the feeling of calmness and harmony.
And even a somber sky before thunderstorm can’t make you feel sad because you know how to enjoy the beauty of every moment…
Notes: Bergamot, Pineapple, Blueberry, Rose, Osmanthus, Jasmine, Purple Violet, Freesia, Orchid, and Lily of the Valley, Patchouli, Oakmoss, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Musk.
If it were a place, it would be a beautiful old villa with a terrace.
If it were a color, it would be soft gray with emerald.
If it were one word, it would be anticipation.
