Czech & Speake is a family-owned brand from London that creates fine fragrances, luxurious bath, body and grooming products, home fragrances, and accessories.
I have already told you about Cuba and Villa Ausonia by this brand, two interesting fragrances that take you either to a small but vibrant Cuban bar or to the Atlantic coast of southwest France.
Today I’ll review Perfecto Fino, the newest perfume by Czech & Speake dedicated to Central America, or rather its landscapes, its people, and their lifestyle.
The Inspiration Behind The New Fragrance
The inspiration behind Perfecto Fino was a meeting of Frank Sawkins, the founder of Czech & Speake, with a Latin American man that occurred when Frank was young.
That man was the first aficionado of smoking requisites Frank had ever met in his life.
He smoked cigars from Central America, but would also smoke cigarettes – the iconic «Perfecto Finos» made with the finest Virginian tobacco and presented in a white box with a green dollar-like seal.
On young Frank, that suave man dressed in a lightweight silk suit and fragranced with a citrus-spicy cologne left a lasting impression.
The one that led to the creation of Perfecto Fino perfume by Czech & Speake.
Review of Perfecto Fino by Czech & Speake
Perfecto Fino opens with a very expressive mix of spices and citruses wrapped in the smoky-leathery accord with a dense balsamic sound.
The notes of cinnamon and clove add oriental warmth to this fragrance, while lemon and bergamot bring some refreshing yet fleeting citrus accents.
Since this perfume was inspired by a man who passionately loved smoking, a note of tobacco, with its rich and warm aroma, plays one of the main roles in Perfecto Fino.
Blended with leather and labdanum, this note perfectly conveys the nostalgic and heady aroma of old cigar boxes.
Such woody notes as sandalwood and patchouli, for their part, bring additional depth to this perfume, while amber gives its enveloping and lingering sound.
Perfecto Fino is the perfume with a strong and slightly rough character that nevertheless has something romantic like the fascinating world of Central America, which invites us to explore it with an open heart.
Notes: Lemon, Bergamot, Cinnamon, Grass, Clove, Patchouli, Labdanum, Leather, Tobacco, Sandalwood, Amber.
If it were a place, it would be a local cafe somewhere in Central America.
If it were a color, it would be dark brown with green.
If it were one word, it would be nostalgic.
It was my review of Perfecto Fino by Czech & Speake, and I hope you enjoyed it.
